What Your Best Tweet Up Story?
June 10th, 2008 · Filed Under: Twitter
I just got back for Philadelphia where I met with a bunch of twitter buddies at JValertLive.
Been looking for Tweet-ups here in Vegas, and planning the Twitter Cruise.
Some say that they wouldn’t want to meet up with Twitter friends in real life.. but what about you?
Have you met someone on Twitter and then in the real world?
Tell your story here.. POST A COMMENT and your Twinterview might wind up in Twitter Handbook
(you can do 140 characters, 140 words, post a video or audio.. it’s all good.. just make sure you put in your Twitter @ handle) Technorati Tags: tweet ups, twitter fireinds, meet ups, real world

Hi Warren,
Here’s the post we discussed about the second Triangle tweetup! I definitely found some interesting folks to follow there and look forward to seeing everyone again later this month. Pics are linked to in the post too. Tracy

Twitter just doesn’t stop for me….It has been the most incredible tool for meeting business associates, talking to co-producers and just overall fun.
I have had Tweetups and started business relationships from Twitter followers. Listen to some of them:
From my Online spanish classes…… @LaGringa I have gained students wanting to learn Spanish by tweeting the classes were about to start. @BeckyMcCray was one of them.
From my zany, wacky, everyone thinks Grandma is drunk show,,,,, @CallYourGrandma I have announced to followers I was going ON THE AIR. I call them Grandma Heads and they go to wherever I tweet, either to http://www.ustream.tv or http://www.talkshoe.com and from those tweets I am continually amazed how many pop in because of the tweet.
From my Online Video Magazine @BIMwebTV I tweet all the people who I am interviewing and that badge runs 24/7 on http://www.BIMwebTV.com
From @PATTI_with_an_i have met the most business contacts and fun. My first Tweetup was with the Denver Podcasters where I meet @GoldieKatsu we went on to produce the KosherEating 101 Podcast. I met @RobMcNealy and @KristieMcNealy they came to my BIZ Show and attended one of my events. I met @RonaldLewis @GeekGirlTV @Genuine and many more. Just an incredible experience. From those meetups in Denver, Goldie has asked me to partake in the executive committee of the Thin Air Summit.
Then from a local search @DivinePurposeMV asked me to tweetup with her and @StevieKnight. We met for coffee, it was awesome and now Stevie Is going with me to the next Denver meeting.
@LindaLocke from California has bought my book from a Tweet and from that we formed a informal BIZ relationahip. @Caroldc in Dallas and I are in the talking stages about forming an alliance to start Networking Chapters there in conjunction with my Entrepreneur Club. As is, @Maxweb who owns a restaurant in Colorado and wants me to bring my Entrepreneur Club in for a Networking Chapter meeting.
In just a few short months I have made some incredible contacts, not to mention all the fun I have tweeting back and forth. I call it my playground because it is so entertaining, yet very informative. Some of the links people post are just down right amazing. I have never had an experience like this.
So get tweeting and see the wonderful things that can happen to your life!

From @ebb567
I ran into a former work colleague @RobMerrill on twitter. My Facebook friends often end up as twitter friends as well, and I have made good business contacts on twitter.

I’ve met more great folks through Twitter in the past 3-4 months than in all of the other networking groups and associations I’ve paid to belong to.
The key is to search. Look for people in your local area, search by your interests, then just start tweeting. The people that will be most interesting to you will bubble out.
