I can’t get a hospital to let me use my cell phone, but surgeons are now using Twitter in the Operating Room
Here’s the story from CNN.
















Fascinating video. I had heard of those robots used in surgery but had not seen them in action.
But you know, I was in a hospital this week for a minor procedure and they let me use my cell phone in the hallway. Enlightened hospital perhaps?

I saw this same thing on Tv and realized Twitter is far bigger than I originally thought…this also shows just how much the internet has become a part of our everyday lives.
This is a great, relevant topic to talk about right now. Another issue I address in a recent iVillage blog entry is if doctors should share medical information and answer medical questions via twitter.
