@JesseStay has a great way of explaining the NO RULES philosophy:
I get so bugged when I see so many people trying to tell me how to write my Twitter stream. Some say I have to have multiple accounts to organize the data. Others say I can’t run ads and my content can’t be promotional in any way. Funny thing is most of those people are promoting something of their own, whether they admit it or not. Personally that doesn’t matter to me.
What matters to me is that I can use Twitter the way I want to. I can write everything in one stream if I want to

I totally agree with you – my twitter is MY twitter, my followers are MY followers. IF they do not like the way I tweet, they have the option to UNfollow me but what works for ME may not work for YOU and what works for YOU might not work for ME.
I do believe that there are *experts* on this topic as well as most others but since twitter is so personally “me” and “you”, what works with our followers and our own style IS the way to use twitter.

Tuning in apparently a month later, I totally agree. I tweet the way that I want to, and if you don’t like it, you have options. I’m not going to change for YOU.
You so must use Twitter in your own style. You have to know your twitter followers – what they like, what they hate and what gets them hooked. Write however. Share whatever. It is mine and I own it.
