Celebrate with Coach Deb LIVE this week!

If you’ve been following my tweets, you know that next week, we’re moving 2500 miles across the Pacific Ocean. Leaving behind the LOST Shores of North Oahu and heading for SoCal.  Our business has gone through some incredible changes since we first dipped our toes in the warm Hawaiian waters 7 years ago.

We wrote the first book on new media marketing: Secrets of Online Persuasion.

I’ve co-authored the first book on Twitter: Twitter Revolution.

We’ve coached thousands of business owners, celebrities and online entrepreneurs with our Private Coaching Services.

Our company has created the push button BLOG i360 System which helps our members thrive in the new media marketplace & gets their online presence all over the net.

We’ve designed and delivered a course that’s bringing the sexy back to marketing: Tribal Seduction.

But now it’s time to say Aloha to our beach home on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii and jump back to the mainland and join civilization again!

Now it’s time to Celebrate! We’ve sold our place, packed up our offices, arranged to ship the essentials to southern California and are busy purging 7 years of happy history of island living. We’re excited about the move and enjoying the last 7 Hawaiian sun rises until the Big Day when we fly with dogs in cargo to San Diego for the next chapter in our lives!

Our last night in our home will be next Sunday.  And while we’re a little sad to be saying goodbye to all the amazing friends we’ve made on this island, we’re also psyched about the change and have come up with a way for you to celebrate with our raving fans who’ve supported us along the way.

SAVE THE DATE!

ON:  Thursday, May 28th / Friday, May 29th (in Australia)
AT:   7pm ET US / 10am NSW / 9am QLD / 4pm PT / 1pm HI

Coach Deb and JP will be announcing their biggest news of the year, and how YOU get to benefit! (HINT: They’ll be giving away $2,000 on this LIVE call!)

Join Coach Deb LIVE: Protect Yourself From Squatters

Business Day posted an article last week on a rising trend in social media: squatters.  Seems that the latest Twitter trend is for squatters to snatch up trademark Twitter IDs.  Nicole Kidman, Coca Cola, and Nike have all had their names snatched up by others.  (You can read the full Squatters Creating Twittering Confusion article.)

Celebrities and major corporations aren’t the only victims.  Some Internet Marketers who were late adopting Twitter had their names scooped up. @biz and @ev spoke about the trend on The View last week and outlined some of the verification strategies they will be putting in place to help prevent Twitter ID theft.

But what can you do in the meantime?

Join me this Thursday for a special LIVE broadcast where I’ll share some simple strategies to protect yourself from Cyber Squatters and what you can do if this happens to you. We’ll also share some Twitter Newbie Tips & what’s to come to help you use Twitter more effectively for your business.

Join Coach Deb LIVE: Reality Mastermind Reveals the #1 Thing You MUST have on Your Blog

Someone once said: Change is inevitable. Any savvy online entrepreneur who wants to remain at the forefront understands that change requires surfing the bleeding edge of technology.

So the question in our minds must always be: “What’s on the horizon and how can I use that to get ahead of my competitors today?”

JOIN COACH DEB & Chat LIVE!

Thirty years ago, there was no internet. Five years ago YouTube was still just a dream. If you watched Biz Stone and Evan Williams on The View this morning, you’ll know that three years ago, Twitter didn’t tweet.

Today, we literally don’t have to leave our computers to book a flight, pay a bill, shop or even connect with a tribe of like minded individuals.

The Internet, YouTube and Twitter are part of our daily lives.

No one could predict the impact each development would have. In fact Bill Gates famously admitted:

Sometimes we do get taken by surprise. For example, when the Internet came along, we had it as a fifth or sixth priority. It wasn’t like somebody told me about it and I said, ‘I don’t know how to spell that.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’ve got that on my list, so I’m okay.’ But there came a point when we realized it was happening faster and was a much deeper phenomenon than had been recognized in our strategy.

Don’t get taken by surprise!

Join me this Thursday for a special Ustream LIVE broadcast where I’ll share The #1 Thing you MUST be focused on when creating your Web Presence. I’ll be streaming LIVE from Hawaii with the Reality Mastermind Guyz.

Visit Chat with Coach Deb for more details on the show, and join my Tribe to get on tomorrow’s FREE Broadcast.

If you’re not a member of this Tribal Seduction Tribe, you may have missed the LIVE show Coach Deb was on this week talking about Twitter and the controversial debates in the Twittosphere. But you can catch the first 30 minutes of the show right here:

Join Coach Deb LIVE: What are you left with when Twitter Dies?

I don’t remember what life was like before Twitter but I’m starting to think about what life could be like after Twitter is gone. (Gasp! Did I just say that?! Twitter = Gone? Really?)

Now that Twitter has entered the mainstream, does it change the Twittersphere?  Is it possible to engage when you have a million PLUS followers?

You betcha!  As long as you focus on reaching people and engaging them with RELEVANT information, ENGAGING content or ENTERTAINING broadcasts.

JOIN COACH DEB & Chat LIVE!

Now that so many tweeters are using auto-follow robots to increase their followers on Twitter  by 1,000 - 2,000 a day, is anyone really listening anymore? Has Twitter reached the tipping point of being irrelevant?

Should Twitter remove the follower count from profiles? These are the debates raging in the Twittersphere these days - ever since Ashton Kutcher and Evan Williams introduced Oprah to Twitter on her show.

One of the questions I’m asked most often is how to increase followers?  But if you focus only on building your followers… your tweeps… you’re ignoring one of the key questions you should be asking yourself: where will I be if Twitter shuts down tomorrow?

Join me this Thursday for a special Ustream LIVE broadcast where I’ll my secrets for growing your list and attracting powerful influencers so you’ll know what to do when the Death of Twitter comes.

Visit Chat with Coach Deb for more details on the show, and join my Tribe to get on tomorrow’s FREE Broadcast.

Do You Follow the Most Popular Tweeple?

I’ve been thinking about the Top 50 Tweeples to FOLLOW survey, and wondering what YOU think.

Do you follow people just because a lot of other people do?

I find that the number of followers a person has is not always the best guide. I’m leary of a survey that is just a popularity contest.

Don’t get me wrong.. I’m hoping you will vote for @coachDeb, @WarrenWhitlock and the cool Tweeple we have on the TwitCast… We’d like the publicity for the radio show, this site, and the book.

What say you?

Do you follow people that you know in real life? Those you meet elsewhere on the net? friends of friends who are saying cool stuff? Or just popular tweeple?

Leave a comment here. Then join me on the TwitCast tonight. We’ll be talking about “follow worthy” and answering your questions.

You can see what time the TwitCast airs by clicking here.

Where Else Would You Be on a Friday Night? Vegas, Baby… VEGAS!

I forget that a weekend in Vegas is a big deal for some people.. I’m here most of the time.

However, this weekend is going to be especially exciting as BlogWorld has come to Vegas @CoachDeb and I will be at a TweetUp where we get to meet many of the bloggers who have supported the Twitter Handbook project over the past few months.

Not in Vegas? No PROBLEM!

The TwitCast will go live at 7:00pm Vegas time. (log in here to see what time it starts on your computer). We’ll have twinterviews, talk about our book store book, Twitter Revolution, and have prizes to give away.

We are live from the tweetup so you can tune in from any computer and join the fun

And now.. TwitCastRadio has VIDEO!

I’ve been told I have a face for radio, but the folks at BlogTalkRadio say I should add video to the TwitCast. They have informed me that our show is featured, meaning that our network of friends will be exposed to a wider audience on the BTR network, and we can add video.

You can grow your network with the show (do this NOW so you will be ready for the show)

  1. Log in to BlogTalkRadio
  2. Create a PROFILE with your photo and real name
  3. Mark the TwitCast as a favorite and become a friend of the show
  4. Leave a comment here and on BTR if you like the show
  5. Tweet to your friends about the show on you blog, ezine and social network

When you do this, you will be all set to grow with our network.

We will announce on the show when it is appropriate for listeners to tweet their profile, post your complete Twitter URL and other like minded twitter users will follow you.

Be sure to follow up with a thank you and try to find something nice to do for the new people that follow you, such as leaving a comment on their blog, or tweeting about something cool they do.

These simple acts of kindness will pay you back when tweeps see that you are a giver, and want to know more about you and what you do. You do not neet to overtly sell them.. they will want to know you. This is the real power of social networking.

I know this works. All of my current clients come from social networking, online and offline, most of them read about me on Facebook or Twitter and my web sites before calling me.

A great way to network, help others, attract new friends and leads for your business and have a whole lot of fun.

If this is helpful to you please comment below. A live link back to you is included.. be sure to add your Twitter handle (@name) so we can follow you.Technorati Tags: , , , , , ,

Blog Talk Radio - Twitter Apps discussed Friday June 13, 2008 starts 8pm PT with Coach Deb & Warren Whitlock

We’ll be getting together again to write the Twitter Handbook LIVE with you, the Twitterverse.

Register for the Twebinar based portion of this broadcast & get Call-in Number emailed directly to you.

Twebinar Registration here

See below for additional registration details

Last month during the 1st TwitCast, we talked about “What’s the use of Twitter?” Including the following topics/conversations:

  • What is Twitter
  • What are Hashtags
  • How to use Summize.com
  • How Twemes.com can be used
  • Is Twitter really “more than just chat”?
  • Can Twitter really useful for business?
  • & so much more as the community got involved
  • We had such great participation from the Twitterverse, which made the 1st ever TwitCast a huge success!

Adam Des Autels & Roger Bauer took it to the next level, as Adam helped to reply back to questions and comments as he tracked the conversation on Twemes & then Roger created a great video after it was over explaining the apps we talked about so that you, the Twitter user could make use of the services for your business or personal use on Twitter.

Warren & I (CoachDeb) have a solid belief about the Twitter Handbook. And that is:

The community involvement is what will make the Twitter Handbook a far better published book than if he and I were to sit down and start typing on our own.

Ever since we each joined Twitter - we’ve both learned everything about Twitter - by using it and interacting with the community filled with brilliant minds and wonderful souls - all willing and eager to participate and help one another out - either in sharing the best resources, or by teaching one another whatever they need to know.

This week - we come together again - to talk about Twitter, what it is, and what types of Twitter apps there are that you can start using to enhance your Twitter experience.

We’ll be meeting slightly later than last time in order to accommodate those requests from the West Coast, and down under who couldn’t join us to participate.

Join us if you can participate LIVE! Here are the details of this Blog Talk Radio Show:

    Friday June 13, 2008
    5pm HI / 8pm PT / 11pm ET
    Call (646) 378-1641

Topic: Twitter Applications (AKA: “Twitter Apps”)
    What’s YOUR Favoriate App?

Blog Talk Radio Show on Twitter

Use Time / Date Converter to find time in your neck of the woods

REMEMBER - whether you can join us LIVE or not - be sure to:
Add your favorite app in the comment box below so we can see which apps are most popular - and perhaps learn about new apps that the community is using and loving so others may learn how to enhance their Twitter experience.

Here’s a recap of how to use Hashtags & twemes which will be important once we begin the conversation announcing the hashtag we’ll use for this chapter of the Twitter Handbook.

Thank you Roger Bauer for creating a great video recap of the TwitCast held last month.
